Crawford, Matt

Matt Crawford is the Computer Security Coordinator for the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) and a member of the U.S. Department of Energy's Cyber Security Technical Working Group. Previously he has been a member of the networking group at Fermilab and a Senior Research Associate at the University of Chicago, where he led the development of the campus network infrastructure and internet connections.

He has been an internet user since the final days of HOSTS.TXT and was present when the third site joined the World-Wide Web. He is an active participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and author of several RFCs relating to IPv6 and the DNS. He holds a B.S. degree from Caltech and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago.
